"I set up MCH+ in late-2002 from the conviction that staff deployment could be vastly improved using smart planning and registration tools. The introduction of mobile data technology (at the time GPRS), PDAs with integrated telephone functions and Internet technology made it possible for the first time to professionally support ambulatory care staff. Integrating the planning and registration functions into one system also enabled planners to directly monitor staff in the field; Not like 'Big Brother' but to better respond to emergencies and for greater peace of mind for everyone involved.
